Bible Verse

APRIL 2025

Ā I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father,Ā may give you the Spirit of wisdomĀ and revelation, so that you may know him better.Ā I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That powerĀ is the same as the mighty strengthĀ he exerted when he raised Christ from the deadĀ and seated him at his right handĀ in the heavenly realms,Ā far above all rule and authority, power and dominion,Ā and every nameĀ that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come.Ā And God placed all things under his feetĀ and appointed him to be headĀ over everything for the church,Ā which is his body,Ā the fullness of himĀ who fills everything in every way.

Colossians 3:17 says ā€œAnd whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.ā€ Women of the Word takes that command seriously. We provide desserts to the homeless men who visit Our Daily Bread in Baltimore. We have partnered with Hope from the Heart Orphanage in Tanzania, collecting children clothing and toiletries state side and sending them to MWanza. In the past, we have worked with Samaritan’s Purse. Before COVID-19 and all its variants, we visited hospitals and nursing centers, as well as conducted Bible Study in local correctional institutions.Ā Ā
