Bible Verse

JANUARY 2025

“The life appeared; we have seen it and testify to it, and we proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and has appeared to us.  We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard, so that you also may have fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ.  We write this to make our joy complete.  This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all.”

1 John 1: 2-5 NIV

Colossians 3:17 says “And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.” Women of the Word takes that command seriously. We provide desserts to the homeless men who visit Our Daily Bread in Baltimore. We have partnered with Hope from the Heart Orphanage in Tanzania, collecting children clothing and toiletries state side and sending them to MWanza. In the past, we have worked with Samaritan’s Purse. Before COVID-19 and all its variants, we visited hospitals and nursing centers, as well as conducted Bible Study in local correctional institutions.
